Capturing Natural Beauty in Portraits
For this project, we were asked to photograph friends or people who were willing to model for photos. We had to have one photo shot in the studio at school, one photo shot outside and one photo in an area of our choosing. For the studio portrait, I had my model move around freely as I adjusted the lighting. Sine she is pale, I had to make the lighting warm to get her skin tone to have some color. It didn't work out as I hoped, so I turned it black and white to mask that problem. For the outside photos, we shot on a day when it was snowing yet still bright outside. She is also very pale but the cold lighting made her eye color pop out which was one of the goals for the shoot. For the fun photo, we shot outside as well and I only focused on her eyes since that is the feature on her that pops out the most. As a whole, this entire project went by relatively easy and editing the final photos were a breeze.
